| Unit Trusts
A unit trust can best be described as a collective
share investment scheme, where investments are made in a variety
of different companies. These investments are collected together into
a share portfolio, which individual investors can then buy units in.
The way in which you, as an individual, can choose to buy these units may
vary. People often invest a lump sum but it's becoming increasingly common
to pay installments on a monthly basis.
