A Unique Selling Proposition (USP) is something that every successful business will have, no matter how large or small that business is.
The USP describes what is unique about your business and what makes it attractive to potential customers. It's something that you should focus on and look to re-iterate whenever you make contact with consumers. You may already, subconsciously, have a Unique Selling Proposition but you may need to sit down and think about what's different about your business.
For example, what do you offer that your competitors don't? Are there some elements of your service that it will be difficult for your competitors to ever match? What is it that your customers look for? Is that what you provide?
The Unique Selling Proposition is vital to the success of your business. If you don't have something different about your business then you'll find it difficult to attract and maintain customers. At the end of the day, the key indicator as to whether your USP is good enough will be the success or otherwise of your business. If your business is a success then you can be sure that you've got a good USP. If not, maybe it's time for a re-think.
